North East Agents hosted event

Developers Highgrove Group, together with the agents marketing the development – Ashley Smith and Colliers International alongside Sheena Ramsey from Gateshead Borough Council recently hosted a lunch at 21 Restaurant, Newcastle to promote the FollingsbyMAX site. The purpose was to highlight the potential new plot layouts available on the site along with an overview of the current update from the Council about the wider investment plan for the area.

The latest scheme has been designed to appeal to a wider audience of occupiers from single units of 99,000 sq. ft up to 396,000 sq. ft. All five units in the new scheme layout feature a high-bay specification offering up to 28M haunch height together with 50 K/N floor loading and 50M wide service yards.

Commenting on the new plot layouts, Highgrove Operations Director David Price said:

“The new plot layouts show just how adaptable the site can be to occupiers and what is available. The latest scheme layout issued by the team offers a range of flexibly sized units from 99,000 sq. ft up to 396,000 sq. ft in a single building. It was important to further promote the Council’s investment plans for Gateshead and the wider area, and the benefits this will bring to the occupiers on the development”.

Also talking about the development and opportunities available, Stephen Smith from Ashley Smith Associates joint agents marketing the development said:

“Follingsby Max will be one of the North East newest industrial and logistics opportunities, offering quality, adaptability, with the benefit of the location being key to this site. The Follingsby scheme is located in Gateshead, which has an economy worth over £4.18 billion, with a further £1.5 billion as proposed investment in to the area. Highgrove’s commitment to service the site is already generating a great deal of interest from a selection of regional, national and international occupiers. We are now actively marketing the development and look forward to speaking further with prospective occupiers”.

‘Follingsby Max’, sits directly adjacent to Follingsby Park – the North East’s most prominent and successful industrial/distribution park development.  It benefits from excellent access to the strategic road network, with direct access to the A194(M) providing fast connections to the A1(M), the A19 and north with good access to Newcastle, Gateshead, Sunderland and South Tyneside.  The scheme is ideally placed to support the region’s growth in key sectors, cementing its reputation as the premier distribution park in the North East.
